Typhoon Ondoy

My heart just goes out to the victims of typhoon Ondoy and my country the Philippines. It breaks my heart to know that a myriad of lives were taken away, homes broken, and people starving due to this catastrophe. But at the same time, I am touched because I see that many of the victims still manages to smile after this terrible devastion and there's still many people out there with good hearts giving help. I want to do something badly for my people, but the best that I can do right now is pray and hope for the best for my country and it's people. It's really sad that we the more fortunate ones take advatage of what we have and even complain about stupid things, while billions of people around the world are suffering from starvation & homelessness. ): I just hope that the victims/people of the Philppines stay strong and never lose hope after this saddening and terrible devastation!
